The gently sloping beach at Worthing is a pebble beach exposing sand when the tide is out. Worthing has plenty of shops and no shortage of places to eat and drink. Further along to the West is Goring where there is a big green behind the beach ideal for picnics and the Sea Lane Café on the beach serving food all day.
Similar to Worthing this has a pebble beach exposing sand and rock pools at low tide. Ferring boosts a lovely beach café called the Bluebird (a hidden gem!) serving superb breakfasts, lunch & takeaway fish and chips.
A bustling cosmopolitan seaside city with plenty to see and do. Spend the day shopping perusing the North Lanes, adventure on Palace Pier, take a ride up the i360 viewing tower or simply take in the cool vibes in a beachfront bar.
Ideal for a family day out, Littlehampton has a promenade, Habour Park amusements and rides, a kids park, train ride and plenty of good value fish and chip restaurants.
If you want a sandy beach, grass picnic areas, a great café and wonderful views head to West Wittering. Hugely popular in the summer months so head off early to beat the traffic!
South Lancing is a shingle beach between Shoreham-by-Sea and Worthing. There is a great café/restaurant called the Perch on the beach front with views out to sea. Behind the beach is Lancing Beach Green, which has a children's play area and a new BMX and skate park.
